some bad news

It is with deep sadness that the family of Cesario Gomes (Daddio) wishes to announce that he passed away on Dec.4,2014 at the Kelowna General Hospital. After many years of being challenged by Multiple Sclerosis, he lost a brief fight of cancer. He was born in Barco, Portugal,November. 4,1952. His family moved to Nothern BC in 1958 working in various small communities. He eventually settled himself in Prince George in early 1970. He had many cherished memories of his time swimming at Eaglet lake. After Ms got the best of him he truly misssed going 4X4ing in the bushes with his children,dancing, renovating houses and biking. He worked at th North Central Plywood in PG for many years. He was proud of his last position with Northwood/Canfor as Health and Safety Coordinator. He loved sharing some his adventures and other stories. he would laugh (contagious) with tears as he was trying to tell them. In Prince George he was quite involved with the Knights of Columubus, St Vincent de Paul,Saint Johns Ambulance, the Multiple Scierosis, Handy Circle Promotion Society which he was a presidant, and the Prince George Special Needs Advisory Committee. He believed in being invovled in our communities aand making a difference. In 2005, he movedĀ  Westbank, to retire but still got involved. In the end he became well known for always being at “Timmies” and wheeling all over town.
